The first winner is . . .

His lovely interpretation of Romeo and Juliet was hilarious.  Even though he did turn Arioch into a gnome, her and I felt he definitely deserved to win.

I asked him to email me information about himself and his characters.  He wrote me a book.  ^_^

Here is a snippet – A little about me…well, I’m a web designer that likes to act and play the drums.  Mostly rock and metal tends to be my style, and the band I was in (Jack Asphalt) actually had a small tour a few years ago.  If you like, I could throw you some MP3s to listen to (though the recording quality leaves a little to be desired).  As far as acting, I’m taking classes in Improv and actually was in Season 3, Episode 5 of “The Guild” for all of about 10 seconds (“Are you ready to raid?!?”).  I also quite enjoy swimming and am a little sleepy right now.

Oooh we have a celebrity with us! 😉

He is a self proclaimed alt-o-holic, which I can totally get behind.  He said that he enjoys just leveling characters.  He has 6 80s.  Not all of them are geared, but still, 6 80s.  I am not even that bad (close, I have 4, but yeah).  He gave me a nice little rundown on seven of his characters and I am going to pop them out for you to read:

Kiserna – Human Paladin, Female.  Holy & Prot specs.  She was my first ever WoW toon.  Her name actually came from a videogame that I have been writing in my head for a few years (and used part of for my Master’s project).

Kareesan – Night Elf Druid, Male.  Feral & Resto specs.  His name came from the intense process of using the Random Name generator until I found a name I like.  He spent about 40 levels imitating a really good friend’s Druid in Boomkin until I discovered that I couldn’t manage mana at all.

Nagozic – Human Warlock, Male.  Affliction spec.  His name came from the same videogame that Kiserna’s name came from.  Known as the Punk Rock Warlock, he spent about 70 or so levels of his life as an Undead…but when my last horde friend stopped playing, I decided to move him over.

Dendekahl – Death Knight, Male.  Blood/Unholy & Frost specs.  His name also came from the same videogame that spawned Kiserna and Nagozic.  Other than severely needing to redo his Frost spec, there’s not a lot to this character…

Kivrin – Night Elf Hunter, Female.  BM & Survival specs.  Her name actually comes straight from the “Doomsday Book” by Connie Willis, one of my favorite authors.  All of her pets are also named after characters in the same book, and I’m even trying to make her title match up with the character in the book (Matron, hopefully coming soon).

Zyrca – Human Warrior, Female.  Fury & Prot specs.  Her name actually comes from one of my old friends who has never expressed an interest in playing WoW, though I’d happily change it if she did.  She was built as a therapy character during a time when I only had limited play hours…thought a low level would be fun, and now she’s 80.

Shrimptastic – Gnome Rogue, Male.  Combat spec, for now.  His name…no real source for it, other than it makes me laugh.  Once my bank, I had actually planned to delete him and change him into a Priest after the expansion, but was talked out of it thanks to a couple of tweets back and forth with Mary Varn.  I wonder if she even remembers those…

I personally love the name of his gnome rogue.  Shrimptastic is just an awesome name.

I am actually quite interested to hear about this video game he has brewing in his mind.  Maybe I can convince him to write a guest post talking about it.  Hmmm, I have never had a guest post before.  *ponders*

For those of you who missed out on the epic comments section of the contest post; here is AngerFork’s interpretation of this picture:

— Arioch approaches a forest, seeing his forbidden love Tatia —

“But soft, what light through yonder forest breaks?
It is the east, and Tatia is a tree.
Arise, fair druid, and killeth that bear,
Who is already sick and will give plenty of leather.”

“Aye me…”

“She speaks.”

“Oh Arioch, Arioch, wherefore art thou Arioch?
Deny thy Horde and refuse thy race.
Or if thou shalt not, be but sworn my love,
And I shall no longer be a Night Elf.”

“Shall I hear more, or shall I speak before she turns Tauren?”

“‘Tis but thy race that is my enemy.
Thou art thyself, though maybe a bit vain.
What’s vanity? It is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other race!
What’s in a faction? That which is controlled by Garrosh
By any other leader would likely be far happier.”

— Arioch approaches her with a flower in hand –

“I take thee at thy word.
Pay for my race change, and I’ll be new baptiz’d;
Henceforth I now will be a gnome.”

“My ears have yet not drunk a hundred words
Of Thalassian, yet I know the sound.
Art thou not Arioch, and a Blood Elf Mage?”

“Neither, fair druid, if either thee dislike.”

— The two stare into each other’s eyes, sharing a kiss and staring into each other’s eyes for hours. As the sun arises, they know they must part for now. –

“Ande’thoras-ethil, my angel.”

“Shorel’aran, love.”
