Go read!

Seriously, go read

Make sure you hover over the pictures.

I will try to get a full post up around lunch time on Wednesday. ❤

bwah?

Arioch and Tirael have been lapping up my creative juices (giggity) lately and I just feel like I need to do nothing but write.  The first story came out easily enough.  I wrote it in like an hour, but the second story took several hours and I still am not happy with it.

I am not really sure what I want to write about.

I mean, I could write about the guild drama that happened on Wednesday, but Nite touched on it.  Plus I just don’t want to deal with the fallout that will become the comments section.

I could write about the GotUR runs we did on Friday and Saturday.  How I am now 10/13 towards my drake.

Ehh that just will piss me off about how people cannot stay out of the bad or keep spread out.  I pride myself on making sure that I am the appropriate distance away (/range FTW) and yet staying in range of the healer.  I keep vuhdo up on my dps characters just for this specific purpose.  I go bat-shit insane when other dps starts crowding in on me.  Do not follow me around!  I might have dots, but I still need to stand and cast shit.  I cannot do that if you keep moving into my bubble!

I know!  I will give you all a little lesson on how affliction warlock dps works.  Courtesy of Andrew:

Every class takes a certain amount of time to ramp up to their full damage potentials. Hunters are almost instantaneous, Rogues, like 3 seconds, not counting the time it takes to run in, etc. etc. Warlocks are the slowest of the bunch, I think their ramp time is on the order of 30+ Seconds. Well shit, let’s have a look:

• S.Bolt (3s)
• S.Bolt (3s)

• Haunt (1.5s)
• CoA (GCD)
• Corr (GCD)
• UA (1.5s)
• Haunt (Because it’s wearing already)
• SB spam

That’s what you have to do to START doing damage.

Now, Afflocks are supposed to be cool because they can do damage and move at the same time. Except if they have to move their DoT stack falls partway or all the way off, and their dps goes down the shitter. Sure they’re doing damage when other people aren’t, but then they have to ramp again. Same thing if they get silenced, interrupted, etc. Did you get stunned in the middle of your UA cast? Fuck. Cast it again, and watch your CoA or Haunt fall off, You’re already losing DPS because you aren’t casting SB. Did you get your Haunt reflected? FUCK. 15% total damage MINUS for 10 seconds. And you may have to burn a GCD to cast Corr again. And a lot of their single-target damage is dependent on SB, so they have to stand and cast just like a Mage anyway. Except mages don’t have a DoT rotation to maintain. (Not that I’m super knowledgeable about mages, I could be wrong.) Oh and do you need a little extra damage real quick? Well then just hit your DPS cooldowns- …wait. …uh…

So far as I can tell, Warlock is the only class that works backwards. There’s a theoretical maximum damage output, (Determined by your gear) and your performance really only sets the % of that maximum output you can reach.

So yeah.  This is why I fail at putting out damage on bone spikes.  The last time we were in ICC I popped a Corruption on each one and got lucky with a few Nightfall procs so I managed to show up on the damage meters for them.  I think I did like 13k, Zug did 140k.  Yeah go me! >.>

Fights where I can stand still and stay in the groove (the anchor position on Festergut) is where I will shine.  Depending on my haste levels I can get 3-4 shadow bolts off between DoT refreshing.  I am currently sitting at 704 haste, with my spellstone.

WTB MOAR HASTE!

Seriously, what is up with all the fucking crit on everything?!  I’m swimming in hit too.  I have actually thought about changing around my talent points to get rid of the points in suppression, but then I need to figure out where I would put them.  I know that Nibuca recently posted about how she has been fiddling with her spec to deal with all the excess hit.  I play horde, I don’t have an extra 1% hit.  It makes me sad that I no longer have the guarantee that there will be a draenei in the party.

I need to just look into things.

So yeah anyway it is now 12:30 am and I need to crash out.  Laters!

He likes to brag

He is a rogue, all is good

How to rogue

Since I admittedly cannot rogue, Andrew has taken it upon himself to make a flowchart to show me.

Just so you are aware, this is the proper rotation – 111116111131111311116

Go read Arioch’s new post!

A little treat

Andrew decided to make me another hilarious comic/picture for this blog.  So I thought I would share it with you.

Enjoy!

I want to send out a special shout out to 4 awesome people on the Arthas server:  Airstream, Lyssarra, Lalune and Feralelf.  I got into a PuG with them on my druid and they were so awesome we did another instance together.  Thank you guys so much for the fantastic runs.  I hope we get paired up again!  Good luck in the game guys!

It’s ok, I’m a rogue

This weekend had its ups and downs.  One of the ups was I finally hit 80 on my mage and went on to pew pew very poorly in some regular dungeons.  I got lucky in several of my groups.  As soon as I zoned in I told them that I had just dinged 80 a few hours ago and might not be geared for the runs (the new 5 mans on reg).  Each group told me I was fine and let me stay.  One of them was REALLY nice and kept giving me good support.  I didn’t have the heart to tell them that this was my 3rd 80.  On Saturday I managed to snag the robes that drop off Loken in regular HoL.  I already had the ebonweave gloves in the bank, so imagine my surprise when I ended up with 2 more pairs of gloves on Sunday.  Of all of the gear that could drop, I got 2 sets of gloves.  One from ToC and one from Heroic Nexus.  I did manage to get a really nice ring from FoS.  The healer needed it as well but he let me have it because it was a better upgrade for me.  Even though it has MP5 on it, it was far and away a huge upgrade over the quest reward rings I had on.  So thank you again Tree healer I ran with on Sunday!

One of the downs was we called our TotC run after a little over an hour and several wipes on the beasts.  I don’t know why we have so much trouble on this fight.  We usually can breeze through Gormock but when the worms come out everything falls to shit.  We do somewhat ok until the worm enrages when we kill the first one.  Then people just drop like flies.  It doesn’t matter how much healing is being thrown out.  No one can stay alive.  When we finally get the damn worm killed there are usually 4 people left alive.  One tank, one dps and two healers.  Or some variation of that.

The highlight of the raid was when we got past the worms and had like 6 people alive.  Mis was tanking, Andrew was on his rogue, I was still alive healing along with Vel and Zakk was dpsing on his ele shammy.  Suddenly Mis went down.  Over vent you hear Andrew say “It’s ok guys.  I’m a rogue.”  He then proceeded to try to tank Icehowl.  Vel and I overloaded heals on him just to see him go splat.  I think I was laughing too hard to really keep the heals up.  I then ran to the door and shadowmelded.  I of course lived while everyone else died.  Shadowmeld saved me 3 corpse runs :D.  Zakk was rather pissy about it each time I did it :D.  I of course bragged about it.  What else would you expect me to do?

Our other tank, Ness, had to leave for work and the PuG dps we picked up dropped group so instead of replacing them, as I wanted to, everyone else said they wanted to call it.  So I was sad that my raiding for the week was ended.  Everyone said to just move it to the next day (Sunday) and we would go from there.  From past experience I knew that this would end up with us not doing ToC for the week.  Sunday raids with our guild never seem to work.  I, of course, was proven right when Dily and Zakk had to call off because of a RL thing that came up.  Several other people who were in the raid the night before didn’t come online until around an hour after when we said we wanted to start.  Needless to say, we didn’t go back into the raid.

Andrew and I ended having dinner together on Sunday and talking about the run brought up the “I’m a rogue” comment and I just about choked on my food.  I seriously wish I could take a picture of the faces he makes when he says these things.  I’m laughing now while I write this just thinking about it.

He brought up that we should start farming the trash in ICC to get our rep up.  Since we have already set up a weekly raid daily day, we might as well add ICC trash farming afterwards.  The people who I have mentioned this to have been on board for it and think it is a great idea.  So here’s hoping we actually can pull it off.

In the meantime I will be plugging away on my mage getting her geared so that she wont be a total embarrassment to mages everywhere.  Also, she needs to start bringing in the dough to pay for her epic flying.  She already has the Valiance Expedition rep to exalted but needs to get her gold up.  I am a little over half way there and she still hasn’t finished the chain to unlock the Sons of Hodir.  I am having way too much fun in IC atm to go back over there.

So if you are on the Ruin battle-group and get stuck with a mage named Calieah from Echo of Fate, be nice, my noob mage will thank you for it and give you strudel :D.

Random Picture Day

I was going through my screenshot folder and found a ton of pictures that I’ve taken that will most likely never see the light of day, even with screenshot Friday.  So today is your lucky day, you get to see them!

I KEEL you!

I KEEL you with this too!

Andrew (Corvine) enjoys transforming himself into a pygmy gnome while on his rogue.  The other night we were doing Heroic UP when he transformed himself, then Heleva threw the mohawk grenade on us all, and to make things even better, she threw a baby spice on him.  I must have like 20 pictures of him like this.  We were all dying in vent when this happened.  He fought through the instance like this.  It was awesome.

"So whatcha in for?"

One of the Silver Covenant quests has you “rescue” Kul who manages to get himself and his friends captured every, single, day.  They must be friends with Corky over in Nagrand.  In this picture Andrew decided to chill out with Kul.  Sadly for Kul, Corvine’s lockpicking doesn’t work on these cages.

Look Ma!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *hack* Woah, head rush

I still don’t know how he does it, but Andrew flies around upside down on his mount.  Every day while we wait for Chillmaw he flies around us in circles upside down.  I finally took pictures, but you have to see him do it live.  BTW I don’t believe he has kicked his Rockstar habit 😉

You want some of this?

While waiting for a stupid book to spawn (it never did) someone hit me with the mohawk.  So naturally I started posing.

I pity the fool . . . I mean, don't you as well? Oh, I guess I am alone then.

Well don’t you?

When I dance they call me Macarena and the boys they say que soy buena

This was the picture I wanted to get at first.  I thought it was nifty that I was floating in air.

This is what I got at first:

Say "Chee . . . Damn it!"

Stupid death knight.

"Can you feel the love tonight."

Man Millea needs to lay off that booze.  Squirrels are cute, but that’s just wrong.

FEAR ME!

DO EEET!

"Do you like my boots? I think the green really brings out the blue in my eyes."

Yeah Dily is a giant among men.  And those green boots. >.<  Let me just say that despite the fact that he has green pants, those boots don’t match!  Who let him leave the house like that?!!
